Original oil portraits begin at $2,500. The cost of a portrait is based primarily upon the amount of the figure shown (head/shoulders, three-quarter figure or full figure) and any additonal details such as complicated clothing or the addition of pets. As an emerging portrait artist, I offer significantly reduced rates compared to the industry standard. Every oil portrait is created on a high quality, portrait grade linen canvas using quality materials.
A 50% deposit is required to start the portrait with the remaining balance due upon satisfied completion. In the event of a wait list, a 10% retainer fee may be required to reserve a spot with the remaining 40% of the deposit due to begin the painting.
